Bacon Scallion Yogurt Spread

Ingredients
- 120 g cream cheese, softened
- 80 g Astro Original 6% Plain Yogurt
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ⅛ tsp salt (omit if bacon is not low in sodium)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 4 slices bacon (low sodium or regular)
- ¼ sweet onion, diced
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 green onion (scallion), chopped
- 1 bagel, sliced in half
Preparation
- Mix softened cream cheese with Astro Original 6% Plain Yogurt.
- Add garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, then combine well.
- Chop the bacon into small pieces.
- In a pan, heat 1 tsp of olive oil and fry the bacon and diced onion until crispy and caramelized.
- Drain excess oil from the bacon and onion to prevent the spread from separating.
- Add the bacon, onion, and fresh scallions to the yogurt mixture.
- Spread generously on a bagel for the perfect balance of creamy, smoky, and fresh flavours.
